This impatient, drunk Camaro driver had enough with the slower traffic in the left lane, so he decided to pass on the left. The result is predictable. The driver was arrested after blowing a .19 on the breathalyzer. If time stamp doesn’t work, FF to 2:11.

We have gone over this. Pick up truck was just as at fault for brake checking and not letting the camaro pass as there was nobody in front of the pick up and he was just keeping pace with the semi

Nice of him to signal the pass on the left.
Not everyone would have done that.

I figured this might be a repost. I’ve been out of town for a few days.

Though the truck should be chastised for fast lane obstruction, what the Campari driver did was far worse and way more dangerous.
He is not “just as at fault”

Drunk driver=stupid, but the pickup driver was an asshole.

It’s kind of impressive that he lasted as long as he did, being more than drunk enough for 2 people.

If the pick up had just dropped whatever beef he had and moved over the camaro driver would have just moved along and the semi and pick up wouldn’t have been caught up in anything

I would say that he is. Sure, he might not have actually caused the accident, but he was respondible for creating the chain of events that sparked it. A bit like antagonizing your brother or sister and then blaming them for beating the shit out of you.

All 3 drivers got what they deserved. The pick up could have let the camaro by and the truck could have checked up and let the camaro by on the right. I know that’s not technically legal under most circumstances but you have to admit, both trucks were boxing in the camaro intentionally.

Without trying to sound like an Internet tough guy, if I wasn’t injured I would’ve hopped out of my truck and beat the fuck out of that Camaro driver, even if he was injured I would’ve punched him in the face like 12 times before the medics showed up.
Also if I was the dashcam car driver I would've called the cops to report a drunk driver, I didn't even need to read he was drunk to see all the swerving he was doing left and right.

I used to imagine what I would do if somebody hit me and it was their fault. It usually included lots of yelling and arm waving and screaming insults. One day, I was driving with my 2-year-old son in the car when somebody rear-ended me. Not bad, but enough to spill my coffee everywhere. Made a hell of a thump. I bailed out, screaming and yelling, just like I had rehearsed in my mind, and totally forgot about my son, screaming in terror in the back seat. That was the last time I thought about what I would do.
The guy was an older gentleman, actually a professor at UT in my wife’s department (she’s a secretary). But I didn’t know it. He was driving an older Chrysler 300, I was in my ‘01 Golf. The fiberglass on the front of his 300 was smashed all to hell, my Golf seemed unscathed. Though I’ve never gotten the rear wheels aligned quite right since then. So I figure at the end of the day, he got the worse end of the deal. And I learned to take a deep breath and assess the situation before bailing out.

Yes, what he’s doing is wrong. It is not an equal factor to the actions of the camaro in the cause of tha accident. It's a factor but not even close to the stupidity and dangerous actions of the camaro.

It really really depends. In your situation I understand you’ve got your child with you so their current situation is the most important but with this asshole swerving behind me like this and then causing an accident I would feel the need to smash his head against his steering wheel.
Now if it was truly an accident I can take a deep breath and exchange info, this was no accident this was practically deliberate.

It seems like the trucker did try to slow up when he saw what was happening, but the pickup slowed down more to match speed and keep the Camaro behind him.
